OSRAM set the stage for public viewing at the Wittelsbacher Platz
Excitement, joy, euphoria, happiness and disappointment – the football world championship always evokes intense emotions with all fans. At the Wittelsbacher Platz, which is situated at the heart of Munich, public viewing now becomes a truly impressive experience for all football enthusiasts, thanks to an amazing light show: an LED lighting installation that illuminates the façade of Siemens Palais adapts to the game on the pitch and, by means of a variety of different colour and lighting effects continually changes to underscore the happenings on the pitch. High-performance LED and controlling technology by OSRAM, the OSRAM joint venture Traxon and the subsidiary e:cue make it possible: 40 LED High Power Linear RGB LED luminaires, which have been positioned in the windows of the building, create either a wave-effect or a coloured firework, blink dynamically in a variety of different colours or, by means of slower lighting movements or softer, more subtle colours, ensure a calmer, relaxed atmosphere during the halftime break. With the help of an intelligent DMX control, every individual luminaire is illuminated in a different colour and endless different effects can be created.
